We take a sweeping
flight across the Himalayan Panorama to Pokhara Valley,
Nepal’s second largest valley, where we will be less
than 20 aeronautical miles from Himalayan Peaks that
rises 8,000m high. Here we witness the magnificent snowy
panorama from Mt. Dhaulagiri to the Annapurna range,
Lamjung and Manaslu in the east. The famous Machhapuchhre
or the Fish Tail Mountain, Nepal’s Mattahorn stands
out dominantly.
This will be a good walking holiday as some of the best
middle-hill trekking is done along this southern spurs
of the Annapurna - Lamjung massif. The gradual route
follows low hills and rarely exceeds 8000ft. in elevation.
From the ridges on this ancient track we will have the
magnificent panoramic views of snowy peaks. As we ascend
gradually beyond the beautiful villages in the lush
Mardi / Seti Valley, we will be in the midst of the
typical country life: encountering Gurung families of
the mid-hill tribes. |
