The trek got its name
from the one luminary that did this short and easy trek,
none other than prince Charles himself. This is a short
trek with relatively less uphill climbs than most treks.
Not having lodge facilities on this route it is less
crowded compared to other trekking routes in the Annapurna
region. But if you do not have much
time and are looking at a trek that is easy and one
that allows you spectacular Mountain View, we would
recommend that you opt for this trek.
The trail on this trek passes through rice fields, forested
ridge tops, lakes (tal), different villages and tepees.
Our excursion begins with drive to Bijaypur from where
the treks start to be rewarded with mesmerizing views
of Machhapuchhare (6997m.) and other peaks of Annpurna
Himal. Passing through charming villages, we end our
walk at Begnastal, the second largest lake in the Pokhara
area. Launch green forests glacial lakes and Himalayan
giant that seem close enough to touch are the highlights
of the trip. The trip with a drive back to Pokhara,
an enchanting lakeside town at the foot of the Annapurna. |
