This comfortable - altitude trek is ideally suited for the first time trekkers. It offers a spectacular introduction to trekking in Nepal. You will be trekking in the Annapurna area, which lies north of the lakeside city of Pokhara in central Nepal. It is dominated by the Annapurna Himalayan Range, which includes Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.). Trekking here is very popular because of its terrains mountain and village scenery.

A you leave Pokhara and wind your way up to terraced hillsides in to the mountain, you will be passing through bright Rhododendron forest and charming village perched on precarious ridge tops. The rhododendron is Nepal's national flower. Mammals like the Rhesus monkey, common langur, yellow throaled marten and the Himalayan weasel are often encountered on the trek.

Nepal's cultural diversity unfolds before you on the trail. You will be walking through villages of Gurungs, Magars and Brahmins.
The gurung and magars communities provide most of the Gurkha soldiers, who have earned worldwide fame for their bravery. Ghandrung (1940m.) is the second largest Gurung village in Nepal and consist of closely clustered, slate-roofed houses surrounded by neatly terraced fields. You can get fantastic views of Mt. Annapurna south and the fishtail side of Machhapuchhare from here.
You will also next exotic mule traus that are remiuiscent of the ancient Tibetan trade route. From Ghorapani you can enjoy the spectacular panorama of Dhaulagiri (8167m the eight highest mountain in the world), Nilgiri (7061m.) Annapurna I peak views, Hiuchuli and others sumits. Poonhill offering best peak views is the highest of our trek.
